3. Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page visited, browser type) is processed in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are deleted automatically by the host after a short time. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO.
4. Availability calendar and booking tool (Smoobu)
To display the availability calendar and handle direct bookings, we use services of Smoobu GmbH, Wriezener Karree 8, 10243 Berlin, Germany. When these sections load, a connection to Smoobu’s servers is established and your IP address is transmitted to Smoobu. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in simple online booking) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
When you make a booking or booking request, the data you enter (name, address, email address, travel dates, telephone number if applicable) is transmitted to and processed by Smoobu for the performance of the contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Smoobu may set technically necessary cookies when the booking tool is used. Further information can be found in Smoobu GmbH’s privacy policy.
5. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are stored locally on our server. No connection is made to Google or any other font provider.
6. Cookies and analytics
We do not set any cookies ourselves on this website and do not use any analytics or tracking tools.
7. Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, travel dates and number of guests if provided, and your message) to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Data from the contact form is sent to us by email via our host STRATO and is not stored in a database. To prevent abuse, your IP address is stored temporarily in encrypted (hashed) form for no longer than one hour in order to limit the number of messages per visitor. We do not pass this data on without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (booking enquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (other enquiries, spam protection). The emails are deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Please contact the controller named above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen).
Terms and conditions
Deposit
For the first booking, a refundable deposit of €100 is charged. The secure payment link is sent separately after booking. The deposit is not included in the displayed booking price and will be refunded after proper departure, provided there is no damage. Guests who have stayed with us before do not pay a deposit for further bookings.
House rules
Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 11 am. The apartment is non-smoking; smoking is only permitted on the balcony. Parties and events are not allowed. Please respect the usual quiet hours (approx. 10 pm – 6 am).
Right of withdrawal
For contracts for accommodation for a fixed period, there is no statutory right of withdrawal (Section 312g(2) no. 9 German Civil Code). Our cancellation policy applies.
